The operator of the future: a new Springer publication

The Foncsi’s newest open access book has just been published by Springer. Entitled "Managing Future Challenges for Safety", this publication presents the results of the Foundation’s strategic analysis on the topic of the operator of the future, in the form of a dozen scientific articles.

It’s not just the multicolored cover that makes the SpringerBriefs in Safety Management collection stand out, it’s a new open access book that Foncsi has just published in its open access Springer collection (but it does have a new cover!).

The latest addition to the collection was published at the beginning of October, under the title Managing Future Challenges for Safety. Demographic Change, Digitalisation and Complexity in the 2030s. This scientific work, coordinated by Caroline Kamaté, presents the results of the strategic analysis on the operator of the future.

Focus on the theme: the operator, and safety, of the future

Massive digitization, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, an aging population, skills’ shortages, climate and health crises... Between now and 2030–40, the major changes that are taking place in the world will have a deep impact on both work and the industry. But what is the future for safety management and governance in high-risk industries? This book addresses the question of the ‘safety of the future’.

We expect that it will be of particular interest to researchers who are considering the future effects of a number of technologies that are currently under development, together with their counterparts who are working in the industry and regulatory bodies.

And there’s more! Coming soon: a Notebook

An academic book has just been published by Springer... but that’s not all: the Foundation is also preparing a new Industrial Safety Notebook!

This report will present the results of the Foundation’s strategic analysis on the operator of the future, but this time in French. We expect to make it available on our website by the end of 2022.

Until then, we hope that you will enjoy this new Springer book, and we encourage you to share it with your colleagues!
